What is power leveling?

Power leveling is the process of increasing your character’s power by another player/gamer that is doing it on a paid basis. If you look at this term through the prism of World of Warcraft, then “Power leveling” means the process of increasing the level of your character. Usually, people use it mixed with the word “Boost.” The term takes its starts in 2007, from the release of The Burning Crusade. WotLK Classic leveling may be done via two main activities – dungeons farming and questing. Let’s analyze better both of these activities.

Dungeons farming

Every dungeon in the Lich King Classic content requires you to have a group of 5 players. The group usually consists of one tank, one healer, and three damage dealers for successful dungeon clearing. Each member of the group should complete their task: tanks – should aggro all the monsters in the dungeons to be all the time their main target and get all the damage from the monsters; healer should cast the healing spells on the injured members of the group (usually focused on the tanks); damage dealers should do the damage to monsters making them die faster than your tank. Players get the XP and Gear items for killing monsters and bosses inside the dungeon.

The primary strategy of dungeon farming way of WotLK Classic leveling is to enter, clear, and re-enter. This means the group clears the dungeons non-stop and skips any quests. Usually, this tactic is excellent if you have a constant (static) group. Then you do not need to spend your time looking for a new group or its members. But if you are playing as a solo player or in a small group of 2-3 people, this is also not a problem. Thanks to a dual spec released in WotLK, you can change your spec any time, absolutely free. It is recommended to have a healing or tanking spec as a second. With this, you will be able to find a group faster.

This strategy may be a must option in a highly populated realm, where competition on quests may be very high, and you may stand for minutes waiting for the spawn of the quest monster or the quest item.

What is the best dungeon to power level in WotLK?

From the beginning, you can choose between the Utgarde Keep, located in the Howling Fjord zone, and Nexus, located in the Borean Tundra. These dungeons are good for leveling from the level 70 to 73. However, Utgarde Keep is preferable for the speed runs with a static group. On the level 73, most of the monsters will become green for you, and the efficiency of its clearing will be very low. Therefore, we recommend that moment move to the Ahn’kahet dungeon till the moment you will reach 76. From 76 to 79, you need to move to Gun’drak, and Utgarde Pinnacle should be chosen for the last level.

These four dungeons we believe are the best option if you have chosen dungeons farming as your primary power leveling strategy. However, every dungeon in WoW WotLK is fantastic. If you are not in a hurry with leveling, you can try all of them and choose your favorite.
